I currently work as a literacy consultant, providing professional development in reading and writing instruction to teachers in PreK–12 across the United States. I find the greatest joy in working alongside teachers, helping them refine their practice, celebrate their strengths, and grow confident in their ability to make responsive instructional decisions. This work has expanded my research agenda and professional connections, while also allowing me to contribute to the field of educational research in ways that stay closely connected to classrooms.

I am honored to be a member of Jennifer Serravallo’s team through The Literacy Strategies Consulting group. With this team, I lead virtual and in-person workshops on Jen’s resources, facilitate embedded coaching cycles and lab sites, and provide customized consulting support for literacy leaders and districts. Teachers walk away with strategies they can implement immediately and a renewed sense of joy in teaching.
